About Us

Lavender House is a development of The Yarbrough Group, Inc.
The Yarbrough's have been residents of McKinney, Texas for 20 years, having moved to the McKinney area in 1985 to start a church. The Yarbrough's began the church in their home, from which blossomed a wonderful, vibrant church called Harbor Point Community Church. As Marsha and her husband Dane continue to minister at the church they planted, Marsha’s hope is that she can move into the market place and truly make a difference in her community through her newly established store, serving the people she has grown to love.

Marsha attended Texas Tech University and studied with the Protocol School of Washington as well as successfully completing studies at, and graduating from, “The Tea School” sponsored by Tea A Magazine, published by well known author & tea expert, Pearl Dexter. www.teamag.com

Our Thoughts & Commitment

Lavender House is a very ambitious endeavor for us. We have always dreamed of a store that would be really distinctive and fun. In our travels around the world we have seen items that were truly unique and hard to find. Our promise is that every item we carry will have a story attached and a reason why we carry it, making every item not only a wonderful addition to the beauty of the home, but a conversation piece as well.

At the same time, when coming to Lavender House it will be more than simply a shopping stop, it will be an experience. Patrons will be able to shop, have lunch or tea, and enjoy the ambiance of the surroundings with our friendly and knowledgeable staff available to accomodate their needs.

We will also have special events every month such as tea tastings, wine and cheese samplings, special holiday events, tea parties and more.
